Seattle Therapy for Individuals

“We are born in relationship, we are wounded in relationship, and we can be healed in relationship” – Harville Hendricks

We are born in relationship

Past hurt or neglect from childhood often continues to influence our adult lives. In therapy, you are invited to uncover and understand the old patterns and rules that get in your way of living a healthier and happier life. You are invited to reconnect with your own strengths and resources to make new decisions that enhance your life experience.

We are wounded in relationship

Sometimes, the impact of relationships, lack of relationships or the end of relationships can be the catalyst for individuals to seek therapy. Some clients come to therapy in order to heal from hurts suffered from past relationships. Some clients come to therapy wishing to understand their feelings of loneliness and to develop a greater sense of connection and community. Some clients are trying to move through the grief from the end of relationships, break ups or deaths. Therapy provides a confidential space to explore and heal the pain suffered from the impact of relationships.

We are healed in relationship

Psychotherapy is derived from the Greek words, psyche, meaning “breath; spirit; soul” and therapeuo, meaning “heal” or “cure”. It is an interactive process of healing by talking to a therapist or counselor. Through the shared exploration in therapy, you are invited to deepen your understanding of your process and of who you are.
